Satu Helena's art lives up to her name. The name “Satu” is a Finnish word that means “fairy tale or story." Her images are created with passion and love for horses and surrounding nature. She often presents her animal and landscape paintings in modern dreamy and mythical forms with vibrant colors. Her paintings often express the dichotomy that they are both true and not true, with a hint of fantasy to display both make-believe and reality with skilled imagery.
Satu Helena's primary medium is acrylic because she loves the transparency of the acrylic paints. She also uses oils, pastels, charcoal and does pyrography and small metalwork art and silver clay jewelry. Currently living and creating Art full time in Cleveland, Ohio USA.
